As a privately funded nonprofit institution, The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History relies on the generosity of its friends and supporters to meet the enormous cost of providing quality programs and services, year-round, to thousands of local, national and international visitors. While your membership provides you with a full-range of exciting benefits, your support helps the museum keep the legacy of Miss Lucy Craft Laney alive!

 

Your donation helps the museum to promote cultural awareness and maintain its commitment to preservation of the Central Savannah River Area’s African-American history.

 

Your donation to the museum helps support the following:

  • Visual, performing arts, history, literature, preservation and leadership programs
  • Educational Tours
  • Educational Summer Enrichment Camps for children in low to moderate family income with focus on Computer, Education, Arts and History Programs.
  • Children’s Academy Art Camps
  • Annual Black History Essay Contest
  • And more

The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History is a non-profit 501 c(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible within the extent of the law.

 Corporate Matching Gifts – Increase the value of your contribution with a corporate matching gift. Many employers sponsor matching gifts programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. The process is easy and typically requires you to submit a matching gift form.  Check with your Human Resources Department.
