Tribute to Veterans: Veterans Day and Its Forgotten Heroes

Guest Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) James C. Vincent
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) James C. Vincent is a 1977 graduate of Fort Valley State College (University). He also earned a Master of Science Degree from Central Michigan University. He served 22 years in the Army as a pilot and later as a Program Manager at the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a Combat Veteran, highly decorated with over 15 medals including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and Air Medal. Upon his military retirement he held several high-profile government leadership positions impacting National Defense, the Department of Treasury and Homeland Security to name a few areas.
LTC (Ret) James C. Vincent, is married to the former Jocelyn Simpson and they reside in Augusta Georgia. They have two sons, Ian, and Tristan. He is a Life Member of the FVSU National Alumni Association, Inc, a 2022 FVSU Hall of Fame Inductee, Vice President of the FVSU Augusta Alumni Chapter as well as a Life Member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
