Mrs. Christine Miller Betts, who served as 26-year executive director of the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History and Conference Center, was born on this day, July 3.
Mrs. Betts’ visionary leadership and love of the Augusta Community shaped a new black history museum into an influential historical resource center and cultural center point where Augustans can experience all facets of black culture.
