One Voice, Many Generations, The Power of your Vote
The Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History are pleased to present One Voice, Many Generations: The Power of Your Vote.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m. and will open with a discussion of the book “The Power of the Black Vote & Government Tactics to Block It” by JoJo Varlack-Hicks of www.votingisyourvoice.com. The author will be in attendance.
Next will be a panel discussion, Passing the Torch of Democracy: Engaging Every Generation, that will be moderated by Renetta DuBose. The panel features Min. Shavonne D. Williams of Partners 4 Faith & Justice, Rev. Christopher Johnson of Interfaith Coalition, Rev. Melvin Ivey of the NAACP Augusta-Richmond County, and Dr. John Hayes of Augusta University.
