Lucy Craft Laney is synonymous with excellence in education. But Miss Laney was also a big supporter of sports and with Coach John M. Tutt at the helm fielded some of the most legendary teams in Augusta’s history.
Join the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History to celebrate Miss Laney’s legacy as we take centerstage at the August 14th Augusta GreenJackets game at SRP Park. The game starts at 7:00 pm with the GreenJackets going up against the Charleston RiverDogs. Part of the ticket sales will go towards supporting the many initiatives at the Laney Museum.
