Annual exhibitions featured include the Women’s History Exhibit, Golf Exhibit, Emerging Artist Exhibit, Quilt Exhibit, and the recently added Debutante Exhibit.
Special Exhibitions consist primarily of works from outstanding emerging, local and national artists. An artist talk at an opening or closing reception is typically a part of the event.
The museum hosts a very popular Golf Tournament in May.
Additionally, the Museum has special events throughout the year including theatrical performances like the Augusta Wilson Series featuring Broadway and TV Star Jerome Preston Bates.
Our Black Caddies Experience called “Men on the Bag” is also presented several times during the year.

Annual Golf Tournament
In May each year we host our Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser. This sellout event has been going on for nearly a decade. Each tournament honors a significant figure in Black History and Sports.
Black Caddies - Men on the Bag
Men on the Bag brings to life the pivotal role Black Caddies played in assisting the world’s top golfers in winning The Masters. The next experience will be April 9, 2025, 6:00-7:30 p.m. Call 706-724-3576 to book.
History & Art Exhibitions
The Museum hosts a number of amazing exhibits centered around Black History and Southern Art. Programming includes special speakers, panel discussions, receptions and even classes.
