The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History Remembers Terrye Yvonne Thompson

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History and Conference Center remembers one of its dear friends, Terrye Yvonne Thompson (December 31, 1950-October 22, 2025).  With a solid connection to many of Augusta’s hallmark African American cultural institutions, Terrye’s love of Augusta, in particular Immaculate Conception Academy, led to the development Two Classes of 1968, of which she served as Executive Producer.  The documentary, “chronicles her Catholic high school class, the nuns who guided them, and their historic journey through integration.”  Terrye, we will always remember you and the love you had for Augusta, Georgia!
