The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History is proud to to present the Fourth Annual Heritage Gala which will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 6:00 p.m at the Marriott Hotel in historic Augusta, Georgia. Please join us for an evening of great proportions to include a silent auction, live entertainment, and great cuisine. Our keynote speakers will be Dr. Ford Bell, President of the American Association of Museums, and Dr. Ron Bailey, Professor of African American Studies and History at Northeastern University in Boston and Visiting Distinguished Professor at Savannah State University.
Dr. Bell, a native of Minnesota, began as president of the American Association of Museums in June of 2007, and is a prominent educator, nonprofit executive and civic leader whose achievements reflect his dedication to the museum and education fields.
Dr. Bailey, a native of Claxton, Ga., is an elite educator who has authored and edited several publications that contribute to African American culture. He has been awarded grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Science Foundation, and the fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE) just to name a few. In addition, Dr. Bailey also directs a collaboration of African American museums in the Savannah area.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the preservation of the Lucy Craft Laney Museum, capacity, and exciting historic and art programming.

4th Annual Heritage Gala Registration
The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Heritage Gala will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Marriott Hotel in historic Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Ford Bell and Dr. Ron Bailey. will serve as Keynote Speakers for the evening.
Attire is Black Tie. Cost $75 per person.
