file-9  Kellogg’s Bakery African-American Resource Group invited Joyce Law as the guest speaker for their annual Black History Program. The success of Ms. Law’s  presentation in 2018  renewed interest for her return to the plant. Mrs. Habersham’s mother, Thomasena Walker Wright, graduated from Haines in the last full class under Miss Laney. Mrs Wright was also the first African-American licensed daycare provider in Augusta, continuing Miss Laney’s advocacy for early childhood development.
